Sougia

Sougia, Chania - Σούγια, Χανιά
Sougia is a seaside village on the south side of Chania. It has road connection with Chania from which is about 70 km.
The road is quite uphill so it takes about 1.5 hours to arrive by private car or 2 hours by bus. Alternatively you can use a boat from Paleochora or Sfakia (which stops in Loutro and Agia Roumeli).

There are buses from Chania 2 times a day:
  • Mondey-Saturday: 05:00 and14:00
  • Sunday: 07:30 and14:00
See information related on bus routes to and from Sougia on the site KTEL Chania Rethymno.

Sites ralated in the transition to Sougia by boat you should see on the site ANENDYK, because the timetable changes and it depends on the season (Shipping SA Southwest Crete - Ferries to and from Sougia). Some days you can visit Sougia and Gavdos by boat. The afternoon buses from Sougia usually synchronize with the arrival of the afternoon boat.

If you are wondering what are the reasons that can lead you to Sougia, we suggest froryou choose some of the following, although you will find several more:
  • to enjoy the route from chania
  • to relax
